A Group Of Parents Want Dinosaurs Out Of School Because They Are ‘Evil’ & A Bad Influence On Kids? | Perez Hilton

Give us a break! No, give us 230 million breaks!

While the exact age of dinosaurs is up for debate, the existence of them is not… unless you’re user CADministry from Mumsnet.com.

This person was outraged that children are being taught about dinosaurs in school because they didn’t exist before the 1800s and because they teach children to be violent.

At first, people thought this parent was kidding when part of the spiel said:

“Aside from the educational aspect, dinosaurs are a very bad example for children. At my children’s school, several children were left in tears after one of their classmates (who had evidently been exposed to dinosaurs), became bestially-minded and ran around the classroom roaring and pretending to be a dinosaur. Then he bit three children on the face. One poor girl has been left with a severely dented nose and the whole class was left traumatised by this horrible display.”

Because that was clearly the extinct dino’s fault… Also, by that logic, we shouldn’t teach kids about lions, and tigers, and bears, right?! Then there was this anecdote:

“Recently my sister foolishly gave my two youngest some dinosaurs toys for Christmas. After telling her to get out of my house I burnt the dinosaurs. My children were delighted because they know that dinosaurs are evil. I am fortunate that my family has been very supportive, and has disowned my children’s former aunt.”

Disowning an aunt over a gift?! It’s not like it was a blowup doll or something! LOLz!

We’d like to think this poster was trolling the world with this loooooong message, that ended in a call to action for parents to get dinosaur cirriculum out of school. Unfortunately, CADministry defended the points against other posters.

Hypotenuse offered, “I heard they’re all into drugs too. The T Rex is the only dinosaur who is not a pothead, and that’s only because he can’t reach his mouth with the spliff.”

But CADministry continued on, saying:

“It’s time we took a step back, and really looked at what we’re doing. Often the most damaging things are the hardest to see, because they’re so accepted. Look at lead paint, or slavery.”

We’re totally at a loss, and even more so because this poster said 217 people signed the petition to get dinosaurs out of the curriculum! What’s even more curious is that this poster is a part of a 4,000 member group called Christians Against Dinosaurs… which has to be fake, right?!

We have to know what you think about this situation…

Ban them from school books: Christian groups says dinosaurs a lie

Dinosaurs makes kids “bestiality-minded”

The mom, who identifies herself as CADministry, posted a strongly worded diatribe about dinosaurs and the harm they do children, her kids included, on a site called mumsnet.com. It’s not only been viewed by people in a number of countries, it’s also been the brunt of jokes.

You decide if it’s deserving of mockery:

“I’m really concerned about dinosaurs,” CADministry began. “And I think something needs to be done. The science behind them is pretty flimsy, and I for one do not want my children being taught lies. Did you know that nobody had even heard of dinosaurs before the 1800s, when they were invented by curio-hungry Victorians?

“Aside from the educational aspect, dinosaurs are a very bad example for children,” she continued. “My children’s school, several children were left in tears after one of their classmates (who had evidently been exposed to dinosaurs), became bestially-minded and ran around the classroom roaring and pretending to be a dinosaur. Then he bit three children on the face. One poor girl has been left with a severely dented nose and the whole class was left traumatized by this horrible display.”

Dinosaurs and family values

CADministry also noted, and this surely rankles her a great deal, as well it should, that dinosaurs have a “total lack of family values.” Not something that has been brought to mind previous and surely a point that everyone must now consider seriously.

ABC News 13 reports the woman is part of a 4,000 strong group that goes by the title ‘Christians Against Dinosaurs.’ It’s difficult to know if they are a serious group, or for that matter if CADministry means all that she writes; however, ABC News said that the group is lobbying to have dinosaurs removed from the school curriculum.

Christians tend to accept dinosaurs existed but to make them jibe with their religious beliefs, say dinosaurs and humans existed at the same time. Archeologists will tell you dinosaurs first walked the Earth 230 million years ago and became extinct 66 million years ago. A human-like creature first appeared about 2.3 million years ago, though us humans didn’t really show up until somewhere around 250,000 to 400,000 years ago.

Just don’t try telling all that to CADministry.

CHRISTIANS AGAINST DINOSAURS!? Christian Group Wants Terrible Lizards Removed From Curriculum | Inquisitr

0

Christians Against Dinosaurs is a group which wants dinosaurs removed from the school curriculum because they believe the existence of the terrible lizards is a lie. One parent, who simply goes by the alias CADministry, started the movement on a parenting site and it’s spreading.

It could be argued that in the book of Job in the Bible, a creature is described which sounds a lot like a dinosaur or a dragon. The creature is called the leviathan, and it is not clear if it was an actual monster or just a metaphor for mankind’s sinful ways.

The parent whose rage over dinosaurs allegedly stems from a more scientific level has written an angry post on Mumsnet and it has garnered a following.

“I am getting sick and tired of dinosaurs being forced on our children.

“At my children’s school, several children were left in tears after one of their classmates (who had evidently been exposed to dinosaurs) became bestially-minded and ran around the classroom roaring and pretending to be a dinosaur. Then he bit three children on the face.

“Recently my sister foolishly gave my two youngest some dinosaur toys for Christmas. After telling her to get out of my house, I burnt the dinosaurs. My children were delighted because they know that dinosaurs are evil. I am fortunate that my family has been very supportive, and has disowned my children’s former aunt.”

Christians Against Dinosaurs has gained a following of over 5,000 members on Facebook, and while it’s not clear if the following is genuine or satirical, it’s clear that a lot of people are supporting the page against dinosaurs in school. Others are joining simply to poke fun at the founder of Christians Against Dinosaurs.

“Hahahaha… Maybe the big skeletons are the scientific community having fun with papier mache?”

“But what about Barney? Will nobody think of Barney???!”

The parent behind it all has responded to mockery, and even raised what she believes to be a scientific level to her thinking.

“Something needs to be done. The science behind them is pretty flimsy, and I for one do not want my children being taught lies. Did you know that nobody had even heard of dinosaurs before the 1800s, when they were invented by curio-hungry Victorians?

“A fossil is not actually a piece of bone. It’s actually a bone that was once in the ground that has been filled with limestone, calcium, and other stone-like deposits, so at the end of the day, it’s a rock made out of rocks.”

“So you have a rock that’s [six-inches long], and you hand it to a paleontologist, who chips away at it until you have something looking like a bone — and that is a fossil.”

Do you think Christians Against Dinosaurs is onto something, or is most of the following just making fun?

Dinosaurs are bad example for children, Christian mum says | Christian Today

0

A Christian mother from an unnamed school spoke out against dinosaurs and called them a “bad example” for growing children.

The mother said in a Mumsnet post that, “[a]side from the educational, aspect dinosaurs are a very bad example for children”.

She claimed that another student at her child’s school become “bestially-minded” and pretended to be a dinosaur, eventually proceeding to physically assault three of his classmates, resulting in serious injuries to the students.

“One poor girl has been left with a severely dented nose and the whole class was left traumatised by this horrible display,” the mother said in the post.

The Mumsnet post then went on to say that there is nothing about dinosaurs that are suitable for children and the concerned mother highlighted the prehistoric beasts’ supposed “lack of family values”, as well as their “non-existence from a scientific point of view.”

The post then lamented that a “dinosaur lie” continues to be taught in schools even after a study of Darwin’s theory of evolution supposedly proved that the dinosaurs did not exist. “Any proper look at the facts will reveal that dinosaurs simply never existed,” she maintained, calling the science behind the creatures “flimsy.”

Some Christians who believe in Young Earth science do not support the theory of evolution and the widely accepted claims of modern science, including the age of the universe, the Earth and the existence of dinosaurs.  Others believe that the theory of evolution itself eliminates the possibility of dinosaurs.  An article at Humans Are Free, titled “9 Scientific Facts Prove the ‘Theory of Evolution’ is False” claimed that dinosaurs did not exist because there were no transitional species that the dinosaurs could have evolved from.

According to the Mumsnet post, the Christian mother and other individuals have launched a signature campaign at her child’s school to have dinosaurs removed from the curriculum. The headmaster of the school, whom she described as “so sympathetic” to her cause, apparently heard their complaint and will reportedly carry on the campaign to the governor.

This Parent Group Wants to Take Dinosaurs Out of School Curriculum | PopSugar

Somewhere in the Friends universe, passionate paleontologist Ross Geller is crying a single, dinosaur-loving tear over this news: a group of Christian parents is lobbying to have dinosaur-related studies removed from public school science curriculum. “I’m sick and tired of dinosaurs being forced on our children,” writes one of the group members in an article about the topic, which declares that paleontology is based on flimsy evidence that was invented in the 1800s. With a group Facebook page that boasts over 5,500 members, Christians Against Dinosaurs believe that dinosaurs are a big hoax that directly subverts creationism . . . which is why they won’t stand for it being taught to their children. Some even think that fossils all over the world have been staged for the sake of swaying believers away from Christianity.

While the group is working to remove dinosaurs from school curricula, members’ online posts are being met with anger and ridicule by many readers. One Reddit user responded to the group with sarcasm, saying: “I’m sick and tired of gravity being forced on our children.” Many others chimed in saying that dinosaurs are what ignited a passion for academics in them during elementary school, and removing it from the curriculum would rob kids of a valuable life experience.

Do you agree with anti-dinosaur activists, or do you think their aims are foolish?

Christian Mom Protesting Dinosaurs, Bestiality In Schools | 2Paragraphs

“I am getting sick and tired of dinosaurs being forced on our children,” begins a rant by a disgruntled parent who thinks the science behind dinosaur discoveries is suspect. The post appears at the popular parenting site mumsnet.com.

The unhappy parent is part of a Facebook group called “Christians Against Dinosaurs.” It has 4,000 members. Besides the possible threat that the consideration of dinosaurs poses to Christians who believe in intelligent design, there are also everyday matters like the wicked influence of dinosaurs on children’s behavior–encouraging bestiality. “At my children’s school, several children were left in tears after one of their classmates…became bestially-minded and ran around the classroom roaring and pretending to be a dinosaur. Then he bit three children on the face.” The T-Rex effect, especially when it results in biting, is frowned upon by parents of all religious persuasions.
